Stop Getting Carried Away

Last night's Sex and the City showing was a riot: not a riot like, haha, but a riot of suburban housewives shuffling in their uncomfortable heels, girls in cheap nylon cocktail dresses, and a random group of about 20 middle-aged Russians. I guess that is sort of a riot haha.

The movie wasn't that bad-- I had pretty low expectations, and it came through with flying colors. Too much name-dropping of expensive labels. And Big's face was achingly affected. It makes me sad that people can't leave their faces alone and age gracefully.

What I really hated was people cheering, clapping, and laughing at the really really bad jokes. There were a couple of funny moments, but the rest was cheesy. People loved it anyways.

I wouldn't see it again but I'm glad I went, which puts SATC on par with the Lord of the Rings musical but below Indiana Jones, which was super good.
