To-Do List

Last day of work. I scrambled to retype the staff handbook that I had inelegantly deleted, and then worked on some briefs with my fellow interns. All my coworkers were super sweet and gave me a card fashioned into a postcard from London-- it had Piccadilly Circus and a male stripper with one of the interns' faces. Classy.

I'll see most everybody tomorrow night, when I go to 93 Feet East for a live theatre art spectacular, courtesy of my coworker who is in charge of the whole thing. I'm really excited to hang out in Shoreditch with all my work peeps.

Tonight was a special private party for Jess's company at Amika... vair fancy. We basically camped out in a knot of people next to the bar, harrassing the bartenders to hurry up and make our free drinks before 10 PM rolled around.

I'm really looking forward to this weekend: I have big plans for markets, sob. That will be one of the things I'll cry about in Chicago, "home"sick and sad. Borough Market, Notting Hill (just to take pictures of the craziness), maybe Camden to sit outside on the Lock and drink until sunset. Then Sunday is King Lear at the Globe, the big vintage fair, and of course my usual trek to Spitalfield and Sunday (up)market and then Brick Lane.

Hopefully, the weather will stay as nice as it is. Then I'll be able to lay around in parks with some friends, soaking up all the vitamin B I can get. I also need to do some touristy things I've missed out on-- Abbey Road, Tate Britain, etc.

New architecture/fashion exhibit at Somerset House. Not to mention visiting all my favorite club and bar nights. Monday is pub quiz, Tuesday is the theater, Wednesday I'm sure will be Tottenham Court Road for Metro, and then the rest of the week is up in the air. I leave Sunday! Yikes

Trying not to think of it...
