Snow Day

Today was the first snow day I've had in years. There have been grève days, but that's a whole different beast.

To celebrate my sleeping in and catching up on work, I took a few pictures from my window and Poladroided the shit outta them. Here are the unimpressive results.

Lest someone call me ungrateful, it's important to note: I love snow days, no matter how unwarranted.

Lights

I got my Polaroid SX 70 the other day, and I'm still not sure if it works. My first picture was waaay overexposed, the second one was this perfectly lit and intentionally blurry shot, and the third was overexposed again in direct sunlight. I read online I might have to modify the camera for 600 speed film. Gar. I think I'll try moving the exposure wheel to the darkest setting and see if that works.

In any case, I'm sort of facinated by the camera itself. It's gorgeous-- covered in old leather with a case that fits like... a case. Cool.
