Friday Faves

Happy Frankensnorricane weekend, everybody! Tomorrow night, I will be prancing around Park Slope in a unicorn costume (obviously) and possibly trudging through another snowy Halloween. At least a unicorn outfit (layered crinolines? I'm not sure yet) will have more flesh coverage than last year—my first-ever "sexy" costume—a bloodstained nurse.

Here are my two favorite things at the moment.



A patriotic gentleman friend. My my, doesn't that just stir your heart.



My new fiddle leaf fig. It took me a while (and a few visits to different nurseries) before I picked the one I wanted. It's beautiful. I love it. Let's all cross our fingers I don't kill it.

Next year I'm going as a ficus for Halloween.
