We spent the entire weekend drinking, shopping and eating: these are the things Veg, or Veggie/ Veggiecakes/Vegerschnitzel is good at, and I think we are pretty seasoned as well.
Friday night we got Schillers and introduced Jess to the "New York scene." Boyfriend and I had a date with The Kills, but I met up with the group the next morning for brunch at The Breslin, a tour of Eataly and tons of shopping. I bought old lady sandals and a boater, so that made my weekend. Saturday night was one of my favorite places—Brinkley's.
Sunday I picked up my camera for the first time in like, ever. Here's what we looked like in the harsh morning light at Pies 'N Thighs.
We drank again. I'm assuming it's fine after noon and beer cocktails are cool all day anyway.
I had this creation, topped off with Frank's to make my heart sing.
Other people got chicken and waffles.
We thrifted, most notably at the Flea, where Ryan picked up this creature.
Other shenanigans were performed.
(Me: "Jess come over here." Jess: "There's no more nipples.")
Ginger ale from Radish.
And we enjoyed the thrifts of our labor at The Levee, world renowned for its cheeseballs.
Check it out: the old gang reunites. And then we sent Veggie back to Texas with strict instructions to move back to the best coast tomorrow.
