I had one of those glorious several hour long internet sessions in which I caught up with every blog in my bookmarks, watched the new Lily Allen video, and tried doing side-tilt photo effects in Photoshop. The result? I feel mentally relaxed, even though my sore throat is still killing me. I also have a few cool fake side-tilt pictures now:

The idea behind this technique (which I
faked, rather than doing it with a special lens), is to make a picture look like a to-scale model. It's cool to do on pictures that aren't especially interesting in themselves (like the second picture). The one from the Louvre looks almost better
in the original because I love it darker and the background is so interesting anyways. I think the Camden Lock picture was perfect for this side-tilt thing, though.
Someone left me an extremely nice comment on flickr about the Camden Lock picture, so I clicked over to his profile and saw this:

I have no idea why people feel the need to be so heavy-handed about their religious affiliation in public places like flickr. After having seen that, I made a conscious decision NOT to add him to my contacts because I know all of his future pictures will remind me that he's a Jesus freak. I can't take that show of blind devotion seriously. Do you think God really cares if you praise Him in every single aspect of your life, including a profile on flickr? I think He has more important things to take care of.
I scrolled down and noticed this:

Wow, he's SINGLE? That's odd.

Haha. So I take it that you get weirded out by the "dancing with Jesus" bumper stickers on Facebook like I do? Strangely enough, just last night I had a dream that my mom was forcing me to go to church with her (I stopped going).
I hope your Thanksgiving was wonderful. I wanted to call you, but I was honestly working on grad school apps straight through the weekend. Are you going to be home winter break?
