My last few days in bullet points:
-Wine tasting with various vintages, shades. Museum guide made a crazy metaphor for barrels: if you have a bad wine in a bad barrel, it's like putting makeup on an ugly girl. It just gets worse. But putting a good wine in a good barrel? It's like putting makeup on a pretty girl. It can only get better.
-Molière's "Malade Imaginaire" at the Comédie Française was the stuff of dreams. French people, French script, French surroundings. I got about 85% of the show, and the rest slipped away when I was getting bored or when the main character shouted quickly and everyone else around me laughed.
-Salon du Chocolat today at Porte de Versailles. Waay too much tasting and testing. I bought chocolate onions from a booth that gave me a slice of bread covered with it and foie gras. I also bought some stuff to send home.
Tomorrow is the first day of the last week of classes. I need to buckle down, and then Thursday is the Harry Potter fête. Huzzah!
